Former “American Idol” finalist and country musician Ayla Brown is putting her talented pipes to good use as she steps in as a guest host on Boston’s Country 102.5’s morning show Aug. 14 through 18.

The singer — and daughter of former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and ex-TV gal Gail Huff — is going to be co-hosting Country Mornings with Jackson Blue and Hannah with Country 102.5’s Kevin Kennedy. You’ll have to wake up with the sun to catch the entirety of Miss Ayla’s broadcasts, as she’ll be on air beginning at 5:30 a.m. But luckily for commuters, she’ll be on until 9 a.m. each morning.

The guest-host gig comes right after Ayla has released her latest new radio single, “Label.” Country 102.5 debuted the track Monday.

“What I thought wasn’t possible became a reality when I heard “Label” on the radio today! Thank you @Country1025WKLB for playing this song!” Ayla tweeted after hearing “Label” on the airwaves for the first time.

The following day, the single landed on the “Top 6 at 6,” coming in as the sixth most requested song on the station and putting her “on cloud nine!!”

Now, the song that sums up the turning point in almost every modern relationship is officially available for everyone on all the major music players: Spotify, iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Music. And it’s a welcomed follow-up to the track “Take Your Name,” which was released early this year.

While her parents have been getting settled into their new home in New Zealand, to which Scott Brown is now the U.S. ambassador, Ayla has been spending her summer playing gigs around New England. A number of her performances have included her beau, hockey-player-turned-country-musician, Rob Bellamy, whom she met when they were both down in Nashville.

If we didn’t know any better, we’d think he could be inspiration enough for her latest lyrics.
