Jimmy Buffett to return to The Wharf in Orange Beach

Good news, Parrotheads! The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach announced Thursday morning Jimmy Buffett will be returning.

The Alabama Gulf Coast native and music legend is scheduled to come home on June 6 at 8 p.m. for a stop on his "I Don't Know" tour.

Tickets go on sale March 17 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will be appearing following several milestones for the collective in 2017. Buffett-themed Broadway production "Escape to Margaritaville" will premiere in La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California, in May.

Additionally, 1977 Buffett album Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The album's signature single "Margaritaville", a standard in Buffett's catalog was inducted into the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame.

Buffett finds his way back home, after appearing on the Gulf Coast in January. Approached by fans at the Dew Drop Inn, Buffett disclosed his intentions to release a film that will acknowledge details of his early life in the Mobile area prior to finding musical stardom.
