SCHUMER OR LATER: We’ve got some more Amy Schumer sightings for y’all. In addition to filming her latest flick, “I Feel Pretty,” in the South End this past week, the actress was at Legacy Place’s brand new SoulCycle to shoot scenes for the rom-com. Off camera, she also strolled through the Public Garden with fellow comedian and SNL vet Aidy Bryant. Schumer shared an Instagram video of Bryant, who was “so charmed” as she ecstatically watched the swans, ducks and geese swim about our literal local watering hole. Throngs of tourists clamoring to board the swan boats seemed to take no notice of the two stars across the pond. Way to keep your eyes on the prize, folks.

CASHING OUT: Boston notables Christy and Jay Cashman hosted a summer soiree to celebrate the fundraising efforts of the Harwich Conservation Trust this weekend. About 300 guests attended the party on the Cashmans’ private island in Chatham, where they enjoyed a boat ride through Pleasant Bay to Strong Island. Among the partygoers were singer, actor and TV host Harry Connick Jr. and his wife and former Victoria’s Secret model Jill Goodacre. Musicians Grace Kelly and James Montgomery performed for the philanthropic partiers.

AUTHOR! AUTHOR!: Local fans of Joyce Maynard are in luck — the bestselling author of “At Home in the World” is leaving her native New Hampshire on a promo tour for her new memoir “The Best of Us,” with stops in the Bay State. Maynard will be in conversation with Andre Dubus III at Wellesley Books on Oct. 10 and will appear at Newtonville Books on Oct. 11. “The Best of Us,” which hits shelves Sept. 5, is the story of how Maynard met her husband, Jim Barringer, both in their middle age. Just a year after their first wedding anniversary, Barringer was diagnosed with terminal cancer. “This book is the story of how I came to learn, late in the game, what it is to be married, and to love a person in a way that has nothing to do with what he has to give you,” said Maynard.
