Oh deer! Arby's bringing its venison sandwich to the masses

After debuting a venison sandwich for a limited time in a handful of markets last year Arby's is bringing it back to all

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Arby's isn't lying when it says they have the meats, from roast beef to turkey, brisket to chicken. Starting October 21, you can add venison and elk to the list.

After debuting a venison sandwich for a limited time in a handful of markets last year, Arby's is bringing it back to all locations including its more than two dozen restaurants in Northeast Ohio beginning next weekend.

"The positive response to our limited offering of venison last year was so widespread and passionate that we knew we had to find a way to offer it nationwide," Arby's executive Jim Taylor said in a release. "On October 21, we want hunters and meat enthusiasts across the country to visit their local Arby's and enjoy this amazing sandwich. It's a perfect example of the level of innovation coming from our teams and our commitment to creating experiences that guests can only get at Arby's."

The venison sandwich consists of a thick cut of deer steak marinated in garlic, prepared sous vide style and topped with crispy onions and a Cabernet-juniper berry steak sauce.

Sound tempting?

You'll have to travel west if you want to try Arby's new elk sandwich. Like the venison sandwich last year, the elk burger is being sold at only a handful of restaurants in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.

Both sandwiches will be available while supplies last and Arby's expect them to go quickly.
