A plus-size model is earning praise after she allegedly humbled the host of a housewarming party for a rude comment, the Today Show reports.

Imogen Ker, 25, said she went to a housewarming party in Los Angeles, Calif. when the male host reportedly made a hurtful comment when introducing her to a fellow party attendee.

"Imogen would be perfect if it wasn't for her body," he said.

Days later, Ker sent the host a text message and slammed him for the comment: (Story continues below)

"Hey. Your comment the other night really bothered me. You said 'Imogen would be perfect if it wasn't for her body.' Listen, I'm a confident girl. And I understand how that could make you think that I would be able to hear something like that. But you don't get to make comments about my body. Nobody does. It's not okay. I'm saying this so I can get over it and move on. Women's bodies are not fair game. We still live in a world where women and their worth is almost entirely placed on our bodies. And by saying what you said, you are just a moving wheel in that operation. I'm not expecting an apology, I just need to let you know how it made me feel."

The host later apologized, saying he didn't remember what he said, according to the Today Show.

"I don't have any recollection saying that. I am flabbergasted by myself ... really that's not OK."

Ker told Today that the environment for curvier girls in fashion isn't where it should be at the moment, but it is getting more inclusive.
