A Florence man who has been accused of forcing women into sexual and labor servitude faces a new charge for seeking out young girls to perform sex acts on him, authorities said.

Already under indictment on multiple counts of human trafficking, Timothy Wylie Staggs, 85, is jailed again after offering to pay a woman $200 to "find two young girls for him," court documents allege.

Staggs is accused of approaching the woman on Wednesday and asking for girls who could perform oral sex on him, Investigator Chuck Hearn wrote in an arrest affidavit.

"(Staggs) further told her that he would want one of them to live with him and work for him but she could not have a boyfriend and could not see anyone," the investigator wrote.

At the time of Wednesday's arrest, Staggs was free on a $300,000 cash bail in connection with the previous cases for which he was accused of forcing women into sexual and labor servitude, according to court documents.

Because Staggs was on bail, Lauderdale County Circuit Jude Mark Craig granted a motion by Alabama Assistant Attorney General John Kachelman III to revoke Staggs' bond. In the motion, Kachelman wrote that Staggs had violated the conditions of his bail, which included not committing any additional crimes.

Staggs first was arrested in July 2016 along with Florence attorney Edward Ray "Chip" Dillard in connection with an alleged human trafficking ring. The Attorney General's Office, at that time led by Luther Strange, announced a 24-count indictment involving Staggs and Dillard.

The indictment charged Dillard with seven counts of second-degree human trafficking, four counts of second-degree conspiracy to commit human trafficking, one count of sex abuse, two counts of making terroristic threats and one count of intimidating a witness. Staggs is charged with five counts of human trafficking and four counts of conspiracy to commit human trafficking.

The sex abuse charge involves Dillard subjecting one of the victims - who was younger than 16 - to sexual contact. Because of her age, she was legally unable to consent.

Staggs' next court date is set for Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.
