Francisco Lindor pulls an 'Omar' and 4 other social media reactions from Tuesday's Cleveland Indians win

Francisco Lindor's defensive play in the fifth inning reminded Tribe fans of the way Omar Vizquel used to do it.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It's one thing for Francisco Lindor to pull off a dazzling defensive play up the middle like he did in the fifth inning Tuesday against Detroit's Bryan Holaday.

It's another thing to do so while the guy who used to pull off the same glove magic in the mid 1990s is standing in the first base coaching box.

When Lindor ranged far to his left and made a spinning skip throw to Carlos Santana to retire Holaday, Indians fans on Twitter immediately pointed out the obvious comparison to Omar Vizquel, the ex-Indians shortstop who now coaches first base for the Tigers and was standing mere feet away when Santana snatched Lindor's throw off the dirt.

Tuesday's Tribe win featured plenty of highlight plays that got social media users buzzing. Here are a few of the best.

1. Lindor's leadoff home run

Lindor blasted his 30th home run of the season leading off the first inning. It made him the third shortstop ever to accomplish the feat, along with Alex Rodriguez and Nomar Garciaparra.

2. Lindor's spinning throw to first

The aforementioned web gem took place during a stretch when starting pitcher Corey Kluber retired 19 out of 20 batters.

3. Carlos Santana scores on wild pitch

Santana turned on the jets when Detroit lefty Drew VerHagen spiked his first pitch into the dirt after entering the game in the sixth inning.

4. Jose Ramirez's sensational play in the 9th

Lindor's competition for play of the night happened with one out in the ninth inning. Ramirez ranged to his left to scoop up an Ian Kinsler liner before firing a perfect strike to Santana.

5. Corey Kluber's complete game

Did Kluber pitch his way into the lead in the American League Cy Young Award chase? Tribe fans think so.
