TORONTO -- The newly promoted Toronto Wolfpack have signed Fiji international prop Ashton Sims for their debut season in the second tier of English rugby league.

Sims, 32, joined the Warrington Wolves in 2015 from the NRL's North Queensland Cowboys. He has made more than 90 appearances for the Super League Wolves.

The six-foot-three 242-pounder will finish out the season with Warrington (9-12-2). The Wolfpack (19-1-1) wrap up their campaign Saturday against visiting Doncaster.

Sims is the second recent recruit for the Wolfpack, who secured promotion by winning the third-tier Kingstone Press League 1 title on the weekend. Widnes Vikings centre Tom Armstrong was the first.

Sims, whose contract is expiring with Warrington, played in both the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final and Betfred Super League Grand Final in 2016.

"I'm genuinely really looking forward to this journey with the Toronto Wolfpack but before that I really want to finish off these last two games the right way after a rough season," Sims said on the Warrington website.

Warrington, who is looking for a coach after the announced exit of Tony Smith, has already announced the departure of Kurt Gidley, Brad Dwyer, Andre Savelio, Rhys Evans, Sam Wilde and Peta Hiku.
